Police look for suspect in Tuesday night stabbing on Barrington Street

HALIFAX - A 38-year-old man ended up in hospital after being stabbed Tuesday evening just outside Halifax’s downtown core.

Halifax Regional Police say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident, which happened just before 7 p.m. on the 2100 block of Barrington Street, a four-lane stretch just north of the Cogswell Interchange.

The suspect was described to police as a man who appears to be about 25 years old and has dark hair. Anyone with information is asked to call 490-5016 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
