Festival of Music next month in Tatamagouche

TATAMAGOUCHE - A fun-filled weekend of music is planned for Nelson Park in Tatamagouche next month.

The Festival of Music will take place Aug. 16 and 17 on the North Shore and will feature a variety of musical entertainment during the two-day event.

On Aug. 16, music begins at 11 a.m. with several warm-up groups at the bandstand. Professional music is scheduled for 1 to 9 p.m.

The entertainment roster includes Jim Richards with Rusty Cage Band; Rudolf Hunt and Brown; DC Smith and the Streamliners; The Woodys; Bill Butt and Kelly Hicks.

The cost is $20 per adult, $10 for seniors (60+) and $5 for 16 years and under.

On Aug. 17, music features modern gospel compositions from noon until 5 p.m. On the roster are Elizabeth Deveau; Bob and C.J. Prest; Denise and Jim White, and others.

Overnight family camping/RV parking is available on both nights. For camping reservations, call Don at 662-4190.
