TRURO - Victorian style preparations, real china teacups and historical surroundings.
That best describes a weekly ‘Tea in the Garden' event that takes place at the Colchester Historeum on Young Street.
Tea is served from 1 to 3 p.m. every Wednesday in the north garden of the historeum. Along with a pot of tea, guests enjoy homemade biscuits and jam and a variety of sweets. Coffee and lemonade are also served, and some gluten-free choices are available as well.
Admission to ‘Tea in the Garden' is $6 for adults and $3 for children younger than age 12. The cost also includes admission to the historeum.
‘Tea in the Garden' continues until Aug. 27. If it's raining on a given Wednesday, the tea will be held inside.
