Tea in the garden
JULY 16 – Every Wednesday in July and August. 1 to 3 p.m. Colchester Historeum, Young Street, Truro. Homemade biscuits, jams, sweets, tea, coffee, water and juice. Adults, $6; children under 12, $3. If it rains, the tea will be held inside the museum.
Ham, salad, strawberry supper
JULY 16 – Upper Stewiacke United Church. 5 to 6:30 p.m. Adults, $12; students, $6; preschoolers get in for free. Takeouts available.

JULY 17 – Truro library. 3 to 4:30 p.m. Drop in or crochet with others. Bring your yarn and needles. Patterns and written instructions will be available. For ages and older.
Annual strawberry festival
JULY 17 – Tatamagouche fire hall. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosted by the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Meals range from $3 to $7. Lively music, bake sale, new-to-you, 50/50 draw.
Story time and crafts

Open door prayer for the community
JULY 18 – First Baptist Church, Prince Street, Truro. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offering personal prayer for people in the community. Wheelchair accessible to the church’s sanctuary.
Friday night social
JULY 18 – Ham, potato salad and strawberry shortcake. Royal Canadian Legion, Tatamagouche. 5 p.m. until sold out. $6 per person. Everyone welcome.
