Open church doors

JULY 14 – First United Church, Truro. Visit the church, relax, find a moment of peace. Open Monday to Friday throughout July and August. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Legion bingo

JULY 14 – Tatamagouche Royal Canadian Legion. 6:45 p.m. Every Monday. Everyone welcome.

Story time and crafts

JULY 15 – Truro library. For three and four-year-olds.  10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Theme: Whiskers and Paws. Registration starts July 9. Call 895-1625 to register.

Documentary film series

JULY 16 – Truro library. 1 p.m. For the movie title, call 895-4183 or log onto www.lovemylibrary.ca

Bingo

JULY 16 –Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Brunswick Street, Truro, 6 p.m. in the auditorium, early bird at 6:30 p.m., regular bingo, 7:20 p.m.

Dance

JULY 16 – Salmon River fire hall. 8:30 p.m. Music by Countrified and others. Shared lunch.

Tea in the garden

JULY 16 – Every Wednesday in July and August. 1 to 3 p.m. Colchester Historeum, Young Street, Truro. Homemade biscuits, jams, sweets, tea, coffee, water and juice. Adults, $6; children under 12, $3. If it rains, the tea will be held inside the museum.

Ham, salad, strawberry supper

JULY 16 – Upper Stewiacke United Church. 5 to 6:30 p.m. Adults, $12; students, $6; preschoolers get in for free. Takeouts available.

If You Build It ….

JULY 16 – Truro library. For ages eight to 12. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Theme: If You Build It … Registration opens July 10. Call 895-1625 to register.

Table petting zoo
