Nicholas Walsh has been charged with possession of child pornography and making available child pornography. A search warrant was executed at the man’s home on May 16.
More than 150 people have been arrested and 343 charges laid as a result of Operation Snapshot III, ranging from luring to making and distributing child pornography.
Insp. Bob Resch of the RCMP said five children in four provinces were also rescued.
More than one million images were seized as a result of the operation, which began in February and involved 40 police agencies.
Investigators say two of the children who have been rescued are from British Columbia, and the other three are from Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.
Eleven search warrants were carried out in Nova Scotia, and 10 people have been charged.
Walsh was the only individual from Colchester County named in a press release issued by the RCMP on Thursday. He’s set to appear in court the morning of Oct. 29, 2014, to answer to the charges.
