North Shore Players members Penny Nelson, left, and Ruby Bowles dressed in costumes to enjoy a spring fair held at Nelson Memorial Park on June 1. More than 300 people attended the fair which featured a ribbon cutting to mark the official opening of a newly constructed bandstand at the park, live entertainment, children’s games, a barbecue, art, emergency services and information displays, a cricket demonstration and silent auction.
