Firefighters continuing to monitor hot spots in woods in Harmony

HARMONY - Firefighters will be back on scene Monday morning to check on a forest fire in Harmony that started Sunday night.

Firefighters were called to the blaze near Fraser Road just before 6 p.m. Members from Salmon River, Valley Kemptown, Bible Hill, Truro, Hilden, Cobequid and North River departments were reported on scene, along with ground and air crews from the Department of Natural Resources.

Those on standby, according to the Colchester County Fire Emergency Calls Facebook page, included Onslow Belmont, Truro, Brookfield and North River.
