Man stabbed in stomach outside Dartmouth business, suspect subdued by staff

DARTMOUTH - Police say they expect to lay charges after a man was stabbed in the stomach outside a Dartmouth business on Wednesday night.

Just after 9:30 p.m., police were called to Portland Street after two men in their 60s got into a verbal altercation outside a business.

Police say a 61-year-old man eventually took out a knife and stabbed the 69-year-old victim in the stomach.

The suspect was subdued by staff until police arrived and he was arrested by officers.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
