BIBLE HILL – A benefit is scheduled for this weekend for a face well-known around the Truro Raceway and Sackville Downs.
Reginald LeBlanc, or Reg to many, was diagnosed with lung cancer at the end of March. He’s been a trainer, driver and blacksmith in the local harness racing circuit and has made many friends over the years.
Now, those friends and his family members are hosting a fundraiser at the Truro Horsemen’s Club to help with medical and transportation costs.
The fundraiser will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the club. Lunch will be served and ‘Butch and Friends’ will perform. There will be a 50/50 draw and auction.
