Probation ordered for stolen property conviction

TRURO - A Truro man convicted of possessing stolen property was placed on probation for 18 months during sentencing this week in provincial court.

Nathan Donald O'Brien, 31, of 42 Archibald St., Apt. 4, pled guilty to possessing a chain saw and drill belonging to Nova Scotia Power.

He also pled guilty to breaching a previous court undertaking by failing to adhere to his curfew.

O'Brien's probation conditions include refraining from illicit drugs and successfully taking counselling for drug use.

He is also banned from being on the premises of East Coast Pawn Stars on Prince Street.
