Man threatens clerk during robbery of Halifax gas station: Police

HALIFAX - Police are searching for a man after a Halifax gas station was robbed on Monday night.

Around 10 p.m., police say a man wearing a baseball cap and a Toronto Blue Jays jersey walked into the Rotary Esso at 7151 Chebucto Rd., threatened the woman working behind the counter and demanded cash.

He was given an unknown amount of money and fled the store on foot.

Police say no weapon was seen, and the 23-year-old employee wasn’t injured.

Several police units searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

He is described as a white man in his mid-20s, about six-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue, Toronto Blue Jays jersey with No 13 on the back, long black shorts, black dress shoes and a baseball cap.
