HALIFAX - Police say a four-year-old boy was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons after being hit by a vehicle in Halifax on Tuesday.
Around 1:30 p.m, police say a 19-year-old man driving slowly on Harlington Avenue hit the youngster when the boy ran across the street in front of the vehicle.
The driver stopped quickly, police say, but still hit the boy, knocking him to the ground.
Police say the boy immediately got up and continued on his way.
The mother of the boy, who was in the area, took her son to the IWK Health Centre for precautionary reasons. Police say he sustained only minor scratches.
There was no crosswalk at the location, and there will be no charges laid.
