TRURO – A family dance and silent auction in support of the Trurobotics team is planned for Sunday.

The Trurobotics is a team of nine youth from Colchester County who are representing the province at the FIRST Lego League International Open in Toronto in June.

Sunday’s event, which features a retro family dance, runs from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn.

Beth and Chris Terry and the Semitones are the featured performers at the dance, with Lenore Zann, MLA for Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River, taking the microphone for a few songs with the band.

The silent auction will feature a number of items for adults, and there will be many carnival-style games for the children.

All proceeds from the door and some of the fundraising activities are being matched by Scotiabank.

Admission is $5 per person or $10 for a family.
