Federal time for Truro man convicted of drug trafficking

TRURO – A Truro man who pled guilty to trafficking in the prescription drug hydromorphone was sentenced on Thursday to two years in a federal penitentiary.

Henry Joseph Brooks, 41, of 36 Lyman St., Apt. 3 also pled guilty to being at large on a court undertaking by failing to be of good behaviour, carrying a concealed weapon (nunchakus) and breaching a probation order by possessing a prohibited weapon.

Brooks further pled guilty to stealing from the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission.
