Truro woman to claim a $5,000 Visa card

TRURO – Two new cars and a $5,000 Visa card.

Those are the top prizes won locally during this year’s roll up the rim contest at Tim Hortons.

John Terrio of South Maitland and Shannon Killam of Yarmouth are grand prize winners in this year’s contest and each will take home a new, 2014 Toyota Corolla Sport.

The prizes were won from coffee purchased at the Robie Street outlet (across from the Truro Mall) and the Inglis Street outlet.

“Having two grand prize winners at our restaurants is exciting for our guests, team members and the community,” said John MacKenzie, owner of the restaurants on Robie and Inglis streets.

“Our guests are happy when they win a donut or a coffee, so you can imagine how thrilling it is when someone rolls up the rim and realizes they’ve won a new vehicle!”

A $5,000 Visa card was also won by Saida Faulkner of Truro at the Main Street, Bible Hill outlet.

All three prizes are to be presented to the winners on Thursday.

Contest winners have until May 18 to claim their prizes.
