Colchester County grants insurance assistance to not-for-profit groups

TRURO – A total of 20 not-for-profit groups have received approval from Colchester County Council to help cover their insurance costs.

Colchester County Council

Council recently gave assent to providing a total of $6,297 to the various groups for amounts ranging from $155 to $680.

The intent of the program, which began in 2006, is to support local organizations that provide opportunities or services to the community.

 

Organizations approved for insurance assistance:

Middleton Community Hall - $155;

North River and District Recreation Assoc. - $475;

Truro Curling Club – $627.50;

North Colchester River Restoration - $350;

Economy Recreation Centre - $331.50;

Earltown Community Centre - $162.50;

Five Islands Athletic Assoc. - $375;

Central Nova Horse and Pony - $522;

Truro Rugby Club - $200;

Hilden Recreation Assoc. - $287.50;

Colchester Stroke Club - $238;

Winding River Art Gallery - $250;

Disaster Animal Rescue Team - $680;

Tatamagouche Farmers Market - $403;

Five Islands Senior Citizens Club - $197.50;

Londonderry Station Community Club - $275;

North Shore ATV Club - $155;

Brookfield Athletic Assoc. - $362.50;

Cobequid Interpretative Centre - $250.
