Lenten chowder luncheon

Community volunteer income tax program
APRIL 4 – Truro library. Completion of income tax forms for low income people. 5 to 8 p.m. Call 895-4183 for an appointment. Drop-ins welcome.
Open Door community prayer
APRIL 4 – First Baptist Church’s sanctuary, Prince Street, Truro. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offering personal prayer to the community. Wheelchair accessible.
Waking up to our lives: introduction to mindfulness

Coffee time for ages 50 and older
APRIL 4 – Truro library. 1:30 to 3 p.m. Topic: Urban Tigers; Tales of a Cat Vet. Author Kathy Chisholm reads from her tales about real life experiences in a cat hospital. Also speaking on topics such as writing and behind-the-scenes at the hospital.
APRIL 4 – Pan fried haddock, tea, coffee and dessert. Debert legion. 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. $10. Takeouts available. Wheelchair accessible.
Annual heritage luncheon
APRIL 4 – Truro Fire Service’s community room. Noon. Hosted by the Colchester Historeum. Tickets are $12 at the museum.
