TRURO- The Easter Bunny will once again be visiting Truro on April 12 to hide its Easter eggs throughout Victoria Park.

Cathy von Kintzel shows off the eggs the children will be on the hunt for on April 12 in Victoria Park, along with the tickets that will be given out before the hunt.

Cathy von Kintzel, special events co-ordinator for Truro parks, recreation and culture department, said the Easter bunny has already left 1,500 free tickets to participate in the Easter egg hunt.

“People are getting excited and looking forward to the event,” said von Kintzel.

People are already calling asking when the tickets will be available, she said.

“They’re looking forward to the hunt, as well as to the chance to meet the Downtown Truro Partnership’s Easter Bunny who always seems to fit us into its busy schedule.”

Each year, thousands of colourful plastic eggs are placed around Victoria Park in special hunting grounds set up by the Easter Bunny.

The tickets are available at three Truro locations, the Douglas Street Recreation Centre, the Truro Library and the Marigold Cultural Centre.

Beginning at 11 a.m., kids will be able to collect the eggs in exchange for one treat bag.

If the event is cancelled due to weather, children can exchange their tickets for a treat bag at the Douglas Street Recreation Centre during regular business hours, from April 14 to April 17
