Colchester County activities for the last weekend of March
Stuffed chicken breast supper
MARCH 28 – Debert legion. 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Supper for $10 includes main meal, dessert, tea or coffee. Everyone welcome.
Lenten chowder luncheon
MARCH 28 – Immaculate Conception Church hall. 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Haddock or corn chowder, rolls, dessert. Haddock chowder: $8; corn chowder: $7; children under five get in for free. Tickets available at the door. Takeout available.
Fish and chips
MARCH 28 – Royal Canadian Legion, Brunswick Street, Truro. 5 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. $8.
MARCH 28 – Douglas Street Recreation Centre. Every Friday in March. 7:30 p.m. Shared lunch, door prize. Sponsored by the Y Senior Citizens Group. Open to ages 50 and older. Admission: $5.
Open Door community prayer
MARCH 28 – First Baptist Church’s sanctuary, Prince Street, Truro. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offering personal prayer to the community. Wheelchair accessible.
MARCH 28 – St. Andrew’s United Church, Stewaicke. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Menu of chili, soup, sandwiches, biscuits, desserts, tea and coffee. $8 per person. Wheelchair accessible. Takeouts available by calling 639-2495.
North Shore dart challenge

Earltown Maple Syrup Festival

Cantab-elation: Joyfully Making Music Together

Pancake, maple syrup brunch
MARCH 30 – North River fire hall. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local entertainment. Adults, $10; seniors, $9; five to 12 years old, $5; children younger than five get in for free. Proceeds to the fire brigade.
Colchester SPCA winter carnival
MARCH 30 – Douglas Street Recreation Centre. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bake sale, carnival games, balloon animals, silent auction.
Music and dance
MARCH 30 – Wentworth Recreation Centre. 1:30 p.m. Shared lunch. Donation at the door.
