TRURO – A benefit for Barry Mingo will take place this weekend.
The event is in support of Mingo and his family. Mingo is a 44-year-old father of three who has been battling kidney cancer for eight years. He is well-known in the community, especially for his efforts with the Cyber robot anti-bullying program, being vice-president of the Truro Centurion Swim Club and as a radio DJ.
The benefit will be held on Saturday at Brunswick Street United Church in Truro from 6 to 9 p.m. It will include a silent auction with a variety of items donated by local businesses. Entertainment will be provided by Julie Johnstone and Brittney Roode along with Bob and C.J. Prest.
