STEWIACKE – Colchester RCMP are seeking two male suspects after another male was assaulted at the intersection of Highway 2 and Main Street West in Stewiacke Friday afternoon.

Stewiacke assault

The RCMP said in a news release that the unidentified victim suffered minor injuries but was able to drive away and call 911 following the assault, which occurred around 4 p.m.

He was then followed by two males, including the suspect, each of whom were driving black Honda Civics.

Police said the victim could not identify the male suspect or who was driving the other vehicle.

The RCMP are requesting assistance from the public for any information regarding the crime.

One of the vehicles is described as a black, four-door Honda Civic, 2006-2008 model, with a John Deere sticker in the back window. The other car is described as a black, two-door Honda Civic hatchback in the 1997-1999-year range.

The front bumper is from an Acura TL. 4 equipped with circular "rally" lights with white covers on the hood. A temporary licence plate is located on the front windshield.

Although police were in the immediate area at the time of the call, neither suspect vehicle was located. Police do not believe, however, that the incident was a random act.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information about the crime is asked to call the Colchester County District RCMP at 893-6820 or contact Crimestoppers.

I commute to Truro from Elmsdale most days and take the back way to the highway in Stewiake. Pretty sure I've seen the car mentioned in the area (the one with the rally lights.
