Roast beef supper

Lenten chowder luncheon
MARCH 14 – Immaculate Conception Church hall. 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Haddock or corn chowder, rolls, dessert. Haddock chowder: $8; corn chowder: $7; children under five get in for free. Tickets available at the door. Takeout available.
Community volunteer income tax program

MARCH 14 – Douglas Street Recreation Centre. Every Friday in March. 7:30 p.m. Shared lunch, door prize. Sponsored by the Y Senior Citizens Group. Open to ages 50 and older. Admission: $5.
Prayer for the community
MARCH 14 – Open Door. Offering person prayer time for people in the community. First Baptist Church, Prince Street, Truro. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Every Friday. Wheelchair accessible.

Classic country music extravaganza

St. Patrick’s Day fiddle fest
