House arrest ordered for Truro man who breached probation terms

TRURO – A Truro man who breached several probation orders and court undertakings has received a 120 day conditional sentence order.

Raymond Gerald Roode, 44, of 209 Queen St., Apt., F, must serve the entire period under 24/7 house arrest, which is to be followed by 12 months probation.

His sentence order conditions include not possessing or using illicit drugs, that he be assessed regarding his alcohol consumption and that he take counselling for mental health, anger management and domestic violence as directed.

Roode must also adhere to further conditions pertaining to his probation order, including that he not enter any establishment where alcohol is served, that he successfully take counselling for alcohol consumption and also for psychological, psychiatric or mental health issues and that he have no contact with Barbara Nelsen.
