TRURO - A Colchester County teenager will be one of 10 4-H members who will be travelling to the Annapolis Valley as part of the sixth annual Kevin Grant Rural Youth Leadership Tour.

Maria Penman of Pine Grove will be joining nine of her peers for the Valley trip, which runs from March 10 to 12.

During their trip, the teens from various parts of the province, will network with other 4-H members while also visiting several farms and businesses in the Annapolis Valley.

The program is held each March break in different parts of the province.

The three-day visit will allow 4-H members to meet community leaders during business, agriculture and industry tours and is aimed at providing a broader perspective on career opportunities while also helping them make confident decisions about where they will choose to live and work.

Kevin Grant was a long-time 4-H member and public servant who supported the Nova Scotia program.
