Halifax Police ask for help finding missing 26-year-old woman

HALIFAX - The Halifax Regional Police /RCMP Integrated Vice Unit is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing woman.

Loretta Saunders

Loretta Saunders, 26, was reported missing to police Feb. 17. She was last seen in Halifax on the evening of Feb. 13 and was in contact with friends online the next afternoon.

Saunders has not been in contact with friends and family since, which is out of character for her.

Saunders is described as Caucasian, five-feet seven-inches tall, 120 pounds, with light brown, straight hair. She is believed to be driving a blue 2000 Toyota Celica bearing Newfoundland licence plate HCP 543. The car has a loud muffler and a spoiler at the back. Saunders is originally from Newfoundland.

Police say there is no information to suggest that Saunders has met with foul play; however, police are concerned for her well-being. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at (902) 490-5016.
