Police believe alcohol, speed, factors after vehicle launches into air, hits apartment
Metro News- A resident looks over the damage done to Parkland Drive apartment building after a car collided with the buidling Wednesday evening.
HALIFAX- A 23-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the vehicle she was driving flew about four metres into the air and into a Clayton Park apartment building.
Police say the vehicle left the road on Wednesday around 10 p.m., struck a fence, then a small tree before launching into the air and striking the outside of an apartment building on Langbrae Drive and Parkland Drive.
Police believe both speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
There was some damage to the apartment hit, and several units were evacuated by Halifax firefighters.
There is no word on charges.
