TRURO - United Way of Colchester County has exceeded its goal for its 2013 campaign.

The campaign has raised $236,542, a six per cent increase from its 2012 campaign which raised $222,400.The goal for the year was $230,000.
“We would like to send an enormous thank you to our community for its increase of support towards building a better Colchester County,” said Thomas Kayter, United Way 2013 Campaign chairman, in a news realease. “An increase in the campaign means more dollars to invest in local vital programs and services. This means we are helping more individuals in Colchester County improve their lives.”
