TRURO – Colchester County council has appointed two councillors to serve as its representatives on a joint board to oversee the windup of the Colchester Regional Development Agency (CoRDA).
CoRDA is being shutdown at the end of the month and the three municipalities of Colchester, Truro and Stewiacke are each appointing representatives to a joint committee to work through the transition process.
Councillors Doug MacInness and Wade Parker, the existing county representatives on the CoRDA board, will continue to serve in that capacity throughout the windup process.
Part of the joint board’s role will be to maintain communications with existing clients and files.
“The committee won’t have a great lot to do,” county solicitor Dennis James told council. “So it will be a fairly modest role.”
