Man robbed on Halifax waterfront shortly after getting off harbour ferry

HALIFAX - Police are looking for two men after someone says they were robbed shortly after getting off the harbour ferry on Saturday night.

The 21-year-old man had gotten off the ferry and was walking in the area of the Historic Properties towards the Marriott hotel when the robbery occurred around 11:30 p.m.

The victim claims two men came up behind him, shoved him against the wall and then pressed something up against his back. The suspects searched his pockets and stole his iPhone 5C before running towards Lower Water Street.

The victim wasn’t injured and called police when he returned to his home in Cole Harbour.

The suspects are described as men between the ages of 18 and 20. One was wearing a light-coloured sweater, blue jeans and a red hat. He was also carrying a duffle bag. The other man was sporting a dark green jacket with four pockets and was also carrying a duffle bag.
