TRURO - Parts of Colchester County are under a freezing rain warning going into Monday morning.
Environment Canada issued the warning for both Cobequid Bay and Colchester County North, noting the freezing rain is to begin Monday morning.
The warning is due to a low pressure system developing over the U.S. midwest, set to intensify as it tracks into Southern Quebec on Monday.
The system will bring a warm front across the region on Monday, and an extended period of freezing rain is likely ahead of the warm front over Northern Nova Scotia and the Annapolis Valley.
Mild air behind the front is expected to change to rain in the afternoon.
