By The Canadian Press - Investigators with the Nova Scotia SPCA have seized the frozen body of a dog from a Halifax neighbourhood.

The SPCA issued a statement saying it received a call on Dec. 23 advising them that a dog had apparently frozen to death in North Preston.

Chief investigator David Ross says a necropsy will determine cause of death.

The group is reminding all pet owners of their responsibility to provide shelter for all pets.
