TRURO - Truro’s $1-million lottery winners club is growing.

For the second time in less than a month, a ticket sold in the Nova Scotia community of 12,000 has won the Atlantic Lottery MAXMILLIONS draw. The winning number is 03-09-12-15-20-33-40.

The lottery corporation – which operates across Canada’s four Atlantic provinces – made the announcement on Friday.

This follows another $1-million win by a group of Truro retirement home nurses dubbed the “Sweet 16” crew. Their lotto pool ticket was picked on Nov. 30.

Details on the most recent winner(s) will be released once the prize is claimed.

Well done, again, Truro. I thought we in Britain were lucky, as our lottery wins have never attracted tax. But now I understand the same applies in Canada. Aren't we the lucky ones! Though nobody here would be at all surprised if that were to change in the future - our government apparently needs the money! Meanwhile, if you're interested, I have my own little just-for-fun page which generates my own personal random quick pick numbers. As I say, it is strictly just for fun, but you never know your luck! Look out for VillaLibra if you want to see if you can locate it.
