HALIFAX - A 28-year-old Dartmouth man was beaten and stabbed in downtown Halifax early Sunday morning.
Police say officers were called to a large disturbance at the intersection of Argyle and Blower streets around 2:30 a.m and found a man who had been severely beaten and bleeding from his head.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics where it was learned he was also stabbed in the chest area.
He remains in hospital at the QE2 with non-life threatening injuries.
There have been no arrests and police are still investigating the downtown assault.
