Tween Lego

DEC. 20 – Truro library. For children ages eight and older. 3:30 to 5 p.m. Registration opens Dec. 13. To register call 895-1625.


DEC. 20 – Good Neighbours. 21 Palmer St., Truro. 7 p.m. Every Monday and Friday. $3. 50/50 draw. Everyone welcome.

Community prayer

DEC. 20 – Open Door, personal prayer for people in the community. First Baptist Church, Prince Street, Truro. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Wheelchair accessible.

Gospel coffee house

DEC. 21 – Debert Baptist Church. Doors open at 6:30; event is at 7 p.m. Potluck supper. Everyone welcome.

Open house

DEC. 21 – Winding River Art Gallery in Stewiacke. 2 to 4 p.m. View the works of many artists. Door prizes are donations by the artists. Everyone welcome.

Christmas concert

DEC. 21 – Creative Voices of Truro, an all women’s group. Special guests Treble Makers and the Truro Youth Singers. St. Andrew’s United Church, Truro. 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults; $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are available from members and at the door.

Longest night service

DEC. 21 – For those who find Christmas difficult. Quiet service reflecting sadness and loss of loved ones. St. Andrew’s United Church, Stewiacke. 7 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Kitchen party

DEC. 21 – Debert and area kitchen party. Debert Lodge Hall, 1191 Plains Rd., Debert. 1 to 5 p.m. Light lunch. Everyone welcome.

Orange Blossom Christmas Special

DEC. 21 – A Night of Christmas celebration through music. Directed by Dr. R. Kevin Call, professor of music. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 148 Evergreen Dr., Truro. 6:30 p.m. Admission: donation to the Colchester Food Bank.

Bethlehem Wind

DEC. 22 – Performed by the Tatamagouche Area Singers and directed by Bette Joan Pring. Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche. 3 p.m. Everyone welcome. 

Christmas concert

DEC. 22 – With Stephanie Mainville and friends. Mainville is a ECMA award winner and will share music from her CD Old Man Winter. Central Nova Wesleyan Church, Pleasant Street, Truro. 10:30 a.m. No charge.
