In learning the Kwanzaa principles, the students practiced the rule Ujima: collective work and responsibility, to build and maintain the community together. The youngsters also learned about sharing each other’s problems and $425 was raised for World Vision to buy a goat, hens, a rooster, fruit trees, solar power, a water filter and supplies for a needy classroom. In addition, the students will provide 12 holiday meals at the Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in Halifax.
