Sentences issued for drinking and driving offence

TRURO – Four individuals were sentenced for drinking and driving offences during provincial court Wednesday in Truro.

Joan Margaret Cole, 25, of 6686 Highway 357 in Middle Musquodoboit, was fined $1,000 and had her driving privileges suspended for one year after pleading guilty to failing the breathalyzer.

Kenneth William Oderkirk, 65, of 1399 Highway 2, Hilden was fined $1,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for two years after pleading guilty to impaired driving.

Jacob Saint Paul, 33, of 98 Burma Rd., Indian Brook was fined $1,100 and issued a 12 month driving suspension after pleading guilty to failing the breathalyzer.

Gerry Dwane Watson, 38, of 497 Truro Heights Rd., Apt. 3, was fined $1,150 and suspended from driving for 12 months after being convicted for failing the breathalyzer.
