TRURO - Failed weekend breathalizer tests landed two people in court to answer to impaired driving charges.
The first incident occurred on Saturday morning when a truck backed into a tree on Adam Street. When police officers arrived they suspected the driver was impaired by alcohol and arrested him. He subsequently failed the breath test.
The driver was a 67-year-old male from British Columbia. He will appear in Truro provincial court at a later date.
The second person accused of impaired driving is a 28-year-old female from Truro. She was arrested early Sunday morning for impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer. She will appear in Truro provincial court on Dec. 18.
