RCMP members were on scene at Cole Harbour High School after a 15 year old male sustained serious injuries from an apparent stabbing on a path near the school on Monday.
Cpl. Scott MacRae said reports came in around 2 p.m. about a disturbance on a pathway near Cole Harbour High School.
“Some sort of altercation was taking place,” he said. “As a result of that altercation, a 15-year-old youth was injured, believed to be stabbed.”
The teen was hospitalized with injuries MacRae described as serious.
MacRae said investigators are holding the scene while they gather evidence and try to find the person or persons responsible.
“That’s our job now, to work with what witness statements we have and what the investigation determines to see where we go next,” he said.
There’s no word on the victim’s condition. MacRae said he is not a student at the school.
