Ski Wentworth offers two days for the festival, where visitors to the ski hill can ride the chairlift to the top of Wentworth Mountain and walk back down.
“It’s the ultimate way to enjoy spectacular views of Wentworth Valley,” said a newsletter sent out on the event.
The event, which runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, is weather permitting. Status updates will be available on skiwentworth.ca.
No dogs are allowed on the chairlift, and there is also no mountain bike access.
Cost is $15 per person, or $40 per family (maximum of five people).
There will also be a barbecue outside at noon each day.
Along with chairlift rides, guided hikes leave from the Old Valley School House at 10 a.m. sharp. The 11-kilometre hike lasts roughly three hours, and donations to the school house will be accepted.
A petting zoo and haystack playground will be available on Saturday only, and those purchasing season passes to the ski hill can have photos taken on either day.
Saturday night will feature a new aspect – fireworks at 8 p.m.
