HALIFAX - Police are investigating after a 75-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a SUV while walking on a road in Windsor Junction Wednesday morning.
The accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Peter Thomas Drive. Police say the 17-year-old female driver of the small SUV was shaken up, but not injured.
Peter Thomas Drive was closed for three and a half hours as a traffic analyst unit assisted police in its investigation.
RCMP spokesman Cpl. Scott MacRae said their investigation is pointing to the crest of the hill where the accident happened, along with the sun, as possible factors.
