WESTPHAL - The RCMP say a man who suffered life-threatening injuries after the car he was working on caught fire has died.
The man was injured in the blaze on Friday morning near 850 Highway 7 in Westphal, which is a plaza with a few businesses including an auto shop.
Police say the man was doing some work on a van when it caught fire, causing serious injuries.
On Saturday, police announced that Peter Kempton, a 58-year-old from Dartmouth, had died as a result of his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by police and the Nova Scotia Department of Labour.
