TRURO - Two early Friday morning vehicle fires are being investigated by Truro police.
Truro Fire Service told the Truro Daily News an Eastlink van and a vehicle at MacKenzie's Ultamar, at the corner of Prince and Lyman streets, were both fully engulfed early morning. One call is estimated to have come in about 5 a.m., while the other was at about 6 a.m.
"They were fully involved (and) took about 10 to 15 minutes to knock down," said fire captain Daton Pearl.
Truro police's Sgt. Gary Thibedeau told this paper the fires are "suspicious in nature" and had "extensive" damage.
The fires are being investigated. As of 7 a.m. there were no suspects and anyone with information is asked to call police at 895-5351 or CrimeStoppers or go to Truro police's Facebook site.
