TRURO – Truro politicians are expected to take a closer look at the possibility of expanding a downtown development to include more residences and office space.
The town’s director of planning and development, Jason Fox, told the Truro Daily News on Tuesday that town council is expected to consider oral and written presentations on Sept. 9 from the public and interested parties relating to a downtown Truro application by Calder and Jon Creelman.
The application by the Creelmans is to amend a 2010 development agreement to allow two additional dwelling units in an existing 10-unit residential building on lands at 29 Victoria St. and 22 Duke St.
The application also includes a request to permit one of the three dwelling units at the Duke Street location into an office for professional use.
The Sept. 9 meeting is open to the public and begins at 1 p.m. in the council chamber on the third floor of the civic building on Prince Street.
