Two Nova Scotia highway collisions leave one dead, others injured

VAUGHN - RCMP have closed Highway 14 after two collisions Wednesday morning left at least one person injured and one dead.

Around 7:00, Windsor RCMP, Emergency Health Services, and the Windsor fire department responded to a collision involving a single vehicle that rolled over, causing injuries.

Shortly after, RCMP came across a second collision involving a car, pickup truck and a garbage truck in the same area. A person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The extent of injuries to the other people involved in the collisions is unknown.

Highway 14 is closed in both directions between Martock and Smith’s Corner until about 12:30 p.m., RCMP estimate.

Police continue to investigate the collisions at this time.
