The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance of New Minas and Kingston RCMP members, arrested a 38-year-old man and two women -- a 21-year-old and a 19-year-old.

The arrests were a result of a prescription pill trafficking investigation that ended with a vehicle being stopped in Berwick. Police seized a quantity of prescription pills at the scene.

The two women will face charges of possession of prescription pills for the purpose of trafficking and both have been released on conditions to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on September 9. The Wilmot man has been held on charges of possession of prescription pills for the purpose of trafficking and three charges of failing to comply with a probation order. He is to appear in Kentville Provincial Court today.

Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit is comprised of members of the Kentville Police Service and Kings and Windsor RCMP.
