TRURO – Any auction lovers out there will want to be online next week.
More than 215 items with a total value of more than $100,000 will be up for grabs through an online spring mega auction.
Hosted by TC Media’s Truro Daily News, The News in New Glasgow, Amherst Daily News and Sackville Tribune Post in New Brunswick, the auction runs from June 10 to 16 on the publications’ respective websites.
“We haven’t done a mega auction online since about 2007 and we thought the time was right to bring something as exciting as the spring mega auction to our readers,” said Bruce Pearson, regional manager of business development for TC Media’s northern Nova Scotia group. “The auction will give our readers a chance to save some money.”
Anyone wishing to make bids can register an account at any time and browse the online catalog.
Some of the items up for grabs include lawn tractors, with one having a value of $3,400, a $4,300 hot tub, framed prints of Bobby Orr and Michael Jordan by local artist Robb Scott and a pair of tickets to Pink’s concert in Toronto this coming November, complete with one night’s accommodation to Novotel Hotel.
“Those that are interested in auctions will be pleased with the diversity of items up for grabs,” said Pearson.
Also up for grabs are green fees for Andersons Creek in Prince Edward Island, furniture and appliances, recreational clothing, flooring, infrared heaters, zipline packages, season tickets to the Amherst Ramblers hockey team, memberships to the Rath Eastlink Community Centre and numerous gift certificates for health and beauty products, automotive services and products, local clothing stores, restaurants, jewelry, metal barns and driveway paving.
