The July 11-12 symposium will focus on the literary heritage and history of the clan, which will be held at the Claymore Hotel in Antigonish.

Following the symposium, the Clan will participate in the Antigonish Highland Games on July 14 to celebrate their 150th anniversary.

“Nova Scotia is a most appropriate place to mark the achievements of Scotland’s greatest bardic dynasty,” said Robert Currie, president of the Clan Currie Society in New York. “We know that such a distinguished gathering of speakers will do honour to the MacMhuirichs at the symposium in July.”

During the symposium, participants have the chance to attend a trip to the Hector Heritage Quay in Pictou and a trip to the Gaelic College in St. Anns.
