STELLARTON – The Museum of Industry is inviting the public to participate in an informative woodland conference on Saturday.
Topics include Woodland owner perspective and experience from Elmer MacKay; legal issues landowners should know about from Ian MacLean of MacLean and MacDonald Law as well as protecting wilderness areas in Nova Scotia from Helen Smith of the Department of Natural Resources. Other topics include an update on the Port Hawkesbury Paper, Efficiency Nova Scotia programs available for landowners and an update on the timber market.
Participants will have the chance to ask questions as well as submit policy and program suggestions and questions, which will be forwarded on to the senior official in the provincial government.
Anyone interested in participating in the conference can pre-register in order to have the chance to win an iPod. There will also be a grand prize draw for the chance to win a new professional level Stihl MS261 power saw as well as door prizes.
