Suspended sentence for Truro man

TRURO - A Truro man who pled guilty to a number of charges, including possessing stolen property, was given a suspended sentence in provincial court on Wednesday.

Michael Watson Williams, 31, of 5 Elm St., Apt. 3, pled guilty to break and enter at the Pizza Market, providing false information to police and several counts of failing to adhere to previous court orders and curfews.

His sentence includes two years of probation, an 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, 20 hours of community service and counselling for alcohol consumption and mental health issues.

He must also abstain from consuming alcohol and illicit drugs.
